| He is indeed elusive. The real problem is he has three spawn points and partols on one of three paths. People kill him left and right so you may check one path, go to another path to check but some one kills him before you, then you go to check the last path but he has spawned back at the first. And again some one kills him before you get there. |

i still have problems finding the koont trooper though >_>
With each of the characters I've put through those 2 Koont Trooper quests I almost always have found him between that upper koont trooper icon and the Rex Cages near that same location on the map. Typically remembered finding him rather quickly because I always ended up having to kill him twice because a single kill never worked for both the scroll quest and NPC quest...
However, for my most recent character, I was in a party that was spread out all along the areas listed on this map with none of us finding him. Someone in-game mentioned to us that he only seems to come out in the evening after 6PM or 8PM or something. Not confirmed if that's accurate or what the specific hours are, if any, so it may just be coincidence but as soon as the evening came around, we found him quite easily. |

| He is not time restricted, only scripted to move on one of three paths. One path is down by the beach near the tree branch drop. Another is up high on the platue near the southeastern seashore. The third path is up on the cliff south of the Wing Rider station near Red Stone Inn. |

PM me if I forgot something or made a mistake. remember folks, The Trooper wanders and the multiple loctaions I have marked are for wandering mobs or mobs that spawn in more than one place. Lynus is in the gorge that runs south west and north east.
